Hello! I’m back at Trattoria again but this time at a different location. Trattoria has a pasta special every Tuesday where all the pastas on the menu are $13! That’s practically 50% off all their pastas!
I’ve tried quite a few of their pastas before on my past visits but I had yet to try the Linguine Gamberi. This dish came with linguine pasta, tiger prawns, capers, olives, chilies, roasted tomatoes and aglio e olio which is a olive oil and garlic mixture.
The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente which is the way pasta should be! The roasted tomatoes added acidity and a welcome warmth to bring everything together. The capers and olives added an element of depth and the tiger prawns took everything to a whole new level! I really appreciated how the tiger prawns were cooked just right so they still had a bite to it. I’d definitely have this again!
We couldn’t leave without having dessert so we ordered a tiramisu to share. The tiramisu here is served square-cut on a plate instead of in a glass. The marscapone cream was so creamy and smooth that it cut through the bitterness of the espresso. I typically like my tiramisu with ladyfinger biscuits with some texture to them but the ones here were soaked to the point they were mushy. I didn’t mind it too much though because everything came together so deliciously!
