On the way home from the dentist, lil’ bun picked up a korean sesame bread mix kit from H-mart. We love these things and used to buy them every single time we came across them at korean bakeries. Korean sesame bread is chewy, stretchy and gluten-free making them super fun to eat!

Chatime (Hastings)
Yet another outlet of Chatime has opened up in Vancouver. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to Chatime and although it came from Taiwan, during my year living there, I have never seen a single store! I know what a surprise right?
Anna’s cake house
Mother deer got a cake from Anna’s cake house for lil’ bun’s birthday. We never get our birthday cakes here. But, their pastries are quite good so we figured that we would give it a try. And boy…it was not a very good call to make because we were definitely not impressed with this one.
Cartems
Cartems Donuts! I’m not much of a donut kind of girl, but adventure is adventure! Chief and I took a few loops around the block before we finally found this little storefront. Once we walked into Cartems, all we could smell was the lovely aroma of sweet pastry dough. The owner greeted us enthusiastically and […]
Roselle Sponge cake
This light and airy Roselle sponge cake has a unique fruity yet floral taste to it. You can create this cake with other dried flowers or even tea leaves if you like! The benefits of Roselle are that it helps lower cholesterol, blood pressure, sore throat, and facilitates weight loss.
Beard papa’s
Beard papa’s is a cafe that serves a variety of flavours of cream puffs as well as chocolate fondant, cheesecake sticks and bubble tea drinks. After dinner, I was surprised to find that mother deer had bought a box of Beard Papa’s cream puffs. It’s been a while since I’ve had one of these. She […]
Crackle creme
After our lunch Oracle and I ended up going to Crackle creme. For some reason I thought that Crackle creme would be a place with a roomy cafe. But the interior was actually quite small and only had bar table style seating. The cafe also lacked a bathroom so make sure you go beforehand.
Pacifico
For a lunch hang out, we decided to go to Pacifico located downtown Vancouver. We headed inside Pacifico and were amazed to how large it was on the inside! Once we were seated we were given menus and found it odd that they didn’t offer their lunch menu on weekends. Instead they had their dinner […]
