Sharetea has slowly become one of our more frequented bubble tea spots as of late. There are Sharetea locations all over the Metro Vancouver area with new ones opening every so often. What I love about the menu at Sharetea is how they have the option of fresh milk or “regular” for their drinks. This time we visited the Sharetea Burnaby location along Kingsway. The Sharetea Burnaby is one of their larger locations with lots of seating on the inside.
I love my matcha lattes so every once in a while I get matcha milk teas to see how they fair. I loved how the fresh milk added rich creaminess to the drink but there wasn’t enough matcha flavour! With all matcha drinks, I expect there to be a dark shade of green to indicate the ample amount of matcha in it so I missed that. So, perhaps I learned my lesson this time to stop ordering matcha milk teas!
Their milk teas though are one of Grayson’s favourites. They have the prefect blend between smokiness from the black tea and the creaminess from milk powder. What results is this almost roasted caramel flavour. We also enjoy getting the “Happy Family milk tea” because it comes with every topping under the sun!
This was one of their new specialty drinks and I was curious about what was in it. The drink was a milky, mango flavoured slush with mango syrup around the edges. There was also pearls, coconut jelly and grass jelly as a topping. The drink tasted like a mango sundae topped with caramel sauce. If you’re a fan of sweeter drinks, this would be the perfect one for you. Unfortunately, my drink had a piece of plastic at the bottom that I choked on but other than that it was great!
