Scoozis

Hello hello! Nat and I decided to go to Scoozis for brunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Scoozis is located on Howe street close to Waterfront station. It has a mom and pop type feel and has been around for years! You could really tell when you walk through the door how much of a family everyone who works there are and they treat you like family too!

You’re greeted with a huge pastry case full of fruit and goodies when you first walk in through the door. A server speaks with you shortly after and you are brought into the large seating area around the corner. The walls of the restaurant are adored with photos of the owner’s family and it gives you such a warm and cozy feeling.

Mimosa

We started off our brunch with mimosas! I love that the ones here come with a slice of watermelon and a strawberry! It gave me such a vacation feel and brought me back to my time in London where we went to a spot with unlimited mimosas! The mimosas here were a total delight. The fruit and paper straw it came with made it all the more magical.

We came in at 12 which meant that we could order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Even though we came in for brunch, the two of us ended up ordering lunch instead!

Scoozis soup + salad/pizza combo

Nat told me to try their soup + salad/pizza combo so that’s exactly what I did. It came with an option of minestrone or chicken soup but Nat said their chicken soup was really good so I went with that. The chicken soup came in the biggest plate/bowl ever! The soup had pieces of skinless chicken breast, veggies and rice inside. It was hearty and filling. Perfect for a cold Vancouver day. It was a little salty for my liking but that aside, I’d have it again.

Veggie pizza

Instead of a salad, I decided to have mine with the veggie pizza. You could also choose the meat pizza instead if you like salami and pepperoni. The veggie pizza came with sooo many veggies you could hardly see the crust! It had zucchinis, mushrooms, lots of cheese, spinach, tomatoes and asparagus! I’ve never had such a decked out pizza before but I loved every bite of it!

I’ve never been to a place like Scoozis before and I definitely want to go back for another visit when I get the chance!
