Rosemary Rocksalt

Rosemary Rocksalt has been a bagel shop I’ve been meaning to try out for a while now but we were finally in the neighbourhood so we decided to get a few to try out!

Rosemary Rocksalt offers a variety of different bagel flavors and sandwiches to choose from. Since we were taking them home we decided to stick with the basics.

I noticed right away that the bagels had a bigger hole in the center than other bagels I’ve had before! They were also a lot smaller than commercially bought bagels. The sides were thinner too so there was not as big of a surface area for us to spread cream cheese or other toppings on when we ate them toasted.

When we cut into the bagel, you could see that the crumb was quite dense. It was also thoroughly coated with toppings and golden brown colour on the top and bottom of the bagel. We liked that they paid attention to this and ensured that the bagels were thoroughly coated.

We decided to get poppy seed, multi-grain, sesame and everything bagels. They were all pretty much the same size with the poppy seed one being a bit smaller smaller but they were uniform for the most part.

While we loved how the bagels were all super coated with all the toppings and how amazing the bagels smelled, the bagels were actually quite tough to chew. We usually get bagels that are soft for the most part with a bit of chew but these were too hard for us!
