I’ve been hearing about Icafe for years now because Grayson goes there quite a bit. So when I finally had the time to go by for dinner the other day, you can assume I had quite the expectations.

The first thing I noticed was how big the menu was. It was practically a novel long!

Icafe appetizers

Our appetizers came shortly after making our orders. With our set meals we decided to get 2 veggie soups and one cream of mushroom. They weren’t anything special and there wasn’t much in it.

First came our beef and gailan dish which had too much sauce for our liking so it definitely helps to have it with rice.

Stone pot rice

Next was a stone pot rice bowl with lots of veggies and tofu. I would say that it reminded me of a soupier version of the Korean bibimbap because of the roux mixed in with everything.

Steak and spaghetti

Last but not least was the steak on spaghetti. As you can see, it was quite the generous slice of steak! And to our surprise, it wasn’t overdone or tough either.

I guess you can now say that I understand the appeal of Icafe. I mean there is something for everyone there since the menu is so expansive. With that being said, don’t go too overboard because you’re bound to take some home!
