Gyo para ramen and gyoza

Hello ramen lovers! Here’s another ramen post for you! On my last day of work Nat I went out for ramen because she always talks about it. Gyo para ramen and gyoza is pretty big for being on West Broadway. The interior of Gyo para ramen and gyoza has small dining tables as well as larger communal tables so you can take your pick depending on how big your party is.

Kara miso ramen

The ramen here isn’t as big of a portion as you might find elsewhere at the same price point but considering that it’s located in Kitsilano, I expected as much. This kara miso ramen is their spicy ramen. It definitely packed a heat which was perfect for me. It came with two pieces of chashu, half a ramen egg and bean sprouts.

Nat usual gets the kara miso ramen too because she loves spicy food just as much as me if not more. But this time she went with the Butter corn ramen. She said that the broth tasted very salty and that it was too rich with the cube of butter on top. She said she’ll stick to her kara miso next time.

The thing I liked the most about Gyo para is that you get to customize everything. It reminded me of santouka because you got to choose the broth richness, noodle thickness and noodle firmness. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!
