Raven needed a girls night so we decided to go to sushi garden for dinner. I actually go to sushi garden somewhat regularly but never realized that I have yet to post about it so here it is!
Being the spice and salmon lovers we are, we HAD to get the spicy salmon sashimi ($8.95) to share. Quantity wise, there wasn’t as much on the plate as the one at sushi california so I was a little disappointed there but other than that, it was pretty standard sashimi. I mean, you get what you pay for in quality right?
I’ve never had the vegetable roll ($2.75) here before but I was pleasantly surprised with what I received because it was stuffed full of lettuce, avocado, mango, kanpyo, and bell peppers inside. It also came with 8 pieces instead of 6 but to be fair they were smaller rolls so I guess it’s about the same quantity wise compared to other restaurants. I didn’t know there was going to be mayo inside and I wasn’t too fond of that so now I know to order it without next time but overall it was a pretty decent roll.
Raven decided that she wanted more sashimi and nigiri so she got the sushi sashimi combo ($9.50). Typically it comes with 2 pieces of tuna sashimi and 2 pieces of salmon sashimi but she doesn’t like tuna so she asked for it to be all salmon instead. She gets this combo every time she comes here so, I’m assuming that it’s pretty yum.
