Hello friends! I’ve been on a hole-in-the-wall restaurant search lately and in doing so, I came across Moa Box.

This place was literally a hole-in-the-wall and was located in this hidden corner of a complex. It took us a few times before we were able to locate it.

We expected a bigger restaurant when we walked in but there were literally two tables in the place. After a while, we realized that this was primarily a take-out joint because the orders kept coming in. It was also a self-serve counter where you order before sitting down to eat. Definitely not what we expected.

After making our order and paying at the counter, we made our way to the seating area. We were both pretty content with everything until we realized that they were prioritizing all the delivery orders over ours. I  mean we waited 25 minutes for our food and there was no service since it was a self-serve place!

Spicy seafood noodle soup: I decided to get the noodle soup because it was a cold day out. The soup had no depth of flavor but had an unexpected spicy kick at the end. If you’re not careful, the heat will creep up on you unexpectedly. The seafood had no flavor and was definitely over-frozen. At least there were lots of veggies in the bowl.

Chicken katsu box: First of all, this was not a box. Second of all, Grayson was happy that there was salad on the side. And last of all, the chicken was way too battered and because of that, you couldn’t really taste anything but the breading.
