On the last week of class, one of my professors from school decided to treat us out for pizza on campus! How nice of her right?
I didnt even know that Mercante existed prior to this but Ive always seen people walking around with pizza boxes and I guess I finally figured out where they’ve all been coming from!
They don’t only serve pizza here though, they have pastries, snacks, pasta, salad and dessert offerings as well!
I was actually surprised they had a real brick oven inside to cook all their pizzas!
Margherita: classic tomato, basil and bocconcini
Margherita is my favorite type of pizza but I’ve had better. It could of used more basil but it wasn’t bad for a pizza on campus
Pizza bianca: bocconcini, mozarella, gorgaonzola, parmesan and chevre cheese
Ortonlana: basil, mozzarella, bocconcini, arugula, artichokes, pickled tomatoes
My friends said that they thought this one was okay but the crust on the bottom was really char-ed and burnt so it was hard for them to finish their slices
