Jong ga again

July 31, 2016

Ahhh, back again. One of my favorite Korean places in Burquitlam….Jong Ga!

Ohhh banchan. Seriously I can’t get enough of banchan and often ask for seconds and thirds of the stuff! Can’t go wrong with kimchi and seaweed ;P

Kimchi tofu soup

I usually get the seafood noodle soup here because they don’t go easy on the seafood but today I decided to try something different and got the kimchi tofu soup instead. The soup was flavorful and had a good amount of heat in it. It was spicy but it wasn’t the kind of spice where it creeps up on you and burns your throat on the way down. It was the pleasant kind that gives you a little bit of a kick you know?

I know it doesn’t look like there was a lot of tofu in there but trust me, there was an entire block of soft tofu in there just waiting to be devoured 🙂 I also decided to get it with the stone cooked rice because not only is it funner to eat because you get the crispy rice edges but you also get more rice because the stone pot is bigger than the bowl they would give you other wise! Plus you get peas! woohoo!

Slow cooked beef bone soup

Grayson decided to get this one because Huntress said that it was really worth it since it was filled with loads of beef. This proved to be accurate information because Grayson was more than content with the amount of protein he found in the pot. There was also a good amount of sweet potato noodles in there as well which was also quite welcomed 🙂
