These soft and chewy banana chocolate chip cookies are sweetened with ripe spotty bananas and chocolate chips.
They’re a wonderful to have as a snack any time of the day and to make them heartier you can always add in a handful or two of rolled oats!
Happy BORNDAY to me! I know it might be a little odd I say “bornday” instead of “birthday” but I think that it makes me unique and quirky for doing so 🙂
Even though I’m all for cake, all I wanted today were some deliciously soft, and chewy banana chocolate chip cookies! Strange? Maybe. But it’s my birthday so what I say goes right?
Besides, baking cookies takes a quarter of the time you need to make cake which means…you can get in more batches in the same amount of time 😉 Yaaayyy more cookies!
So why do I love these cookies to the point where I want them over cake? Well, let me tell you!
But as far as other bornday festivities go, I don’t have any other plans yet because it’s crunch time at school right now and I haven’t even been able to think about what I wanted to do. Plus the fact that my friends are just as busy as I am, doesn’t really help either!
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! And what’s your favorite way to sweeten your bakes?

Great idea to add bananas to your chocolate chip cookies. I don't think I have ever added them to a cookie - I just might have to give this a try :)
Let me know how it works out for you Judi! Bananas are the best!
Thank you for bringing these to FF. I've pinned your recipe because I also have a lot of vegan friends, plus ones that are avoiding sugar. Great idea! They look perfect with a cup of tea for a study break.
Thanks for the pin Liz! So glad you were able to use it in some way! :)
Years ago I made a banana chocolate chunk recipe from Martha Stewart which my husband loved. The recipe was lost. Thank you for bringing this healthier version that I am going to try! Happy FF!
Hope they turn out wonderful for you Johann!
These look so moist and soft! Delicious! Have a happy belated birthday!!
Thank you so much Cassie !
Okay, although that I am a year + late to this recipe, I found it because I am told that I am Diabetic so the Agave Nectar has a low glycemic index (check,), I happen to have ALL of the ingredients in my pantry, including the rolled oats (check, check) and I am having a bit of a sweet tooth tonight (check, check, check) Isn't that called a TRIFECTA!?! I completed a batch and just heard the timer. I am looking SO forward to this! Thanx a bunch!!
Happy to hear that you're able to satisfy your cookie cravings! Hope you enjoy them!
